After a morning of football and playing with the New Years tree, we continued our annual New Years tradition of ringing in the New Year at the Gomez' house with the kids. It was fun, chaotic and crazy - just how we like to celebrate. And it doesn't hurt to have an amazing chef to help with the cooking!

December
Avery (2 years, 4 months) - Avery has started to become more verbal recently and we love listening to her sweet little voice. She loves clothes and shoes and can be quite opinionated about what she wears. Avery has taken an interest in playing dress up and dolls but also loves to wrestle with her brothers. She is continuing to lose her baby weight despite her strong love for Mac and Cheese!
Parker (5 years, 1 month) - Parker had a busy month with lots of fun birthday parties. He continues to love art and brings home several sheets of drawing each day. He even "wrote" a book to put in his classroom library. Parker started his first season of basketball this month. He was quite nervous before starting but played a great first game (no tears, played hard). He was definitely the best ball grabber on the team and was incredibly scrappy diving for any lose balls - guess all that wrestling with brother paid off.
Carter (6 years, 7 months) - Carter also started basketball this month. He scored a basket in his first game and was so proud of himself. He has a lot of older 2nd grade kids on the team that are really good so it was quite the feat. Carter had a few weeks off for the holidays which he spent at a fun camp, hanging with mom and relaxing from a rigorous fall of first grade!

December at School
Carter had lots of holiday fun at school in December but his favorite activity was his week of holiday camp at Josh Powell. Carter and a few buddies from school spent the week doing a lot of their favorite activities from the summer plus winter fun like snowball fights, smore's, hot chocolate and even a visit from Santa!
Parker had all sorts of winter fun at school from making blubber to snowman, celebrating lots of birthday's, completing snow themed obstacle courses and even making volcano's.
Avery had a fun month at school too. She is becoming quite a little chatterbox when she wants too and loves showing off her colors, shapes and numbers. She adores her teacher, Ms B, and gets excited to see her each morning.
