New Year's Eve

We hosted a group of neighbors for New Year's Eve this year. The kids decorated the annual New Year's tree and we catered food since our kitchen is in the midst of being emptied for renovations. There were fireworks, football and apple cider/champagne toasts.

December

December is full of holiday fun but we fit in some other activities as well with winter sports in full gear and enjoying watching the competition when we had time off!

Avery (10 years, 4 months) - Avery and mom had a few girls holiday fun events going to see Cirque at the Fox and La Madeline with Mimi. She had her first basketball games which she loves though shopping after Christmas sales with some gift money were also a big hit.

Parker (13 years, 1 month) - Parker had a sporty month! He played in the annual Smyrna dodgeball tournament with his baseball team. His team also had their annual holiday party and gift swap. He celebrated a late birthday taking friends to see the Hawks play the Timberwolves (he rooted for Minnesota). Wrestling season is in full swing and going well with several wins and Lovett taking home the annual Bear Brawl competition. And Parker/Dad joined the Packers Fan Club several Sundays to watch games.

Carter (14 years, 7 months) - High School wrestling has been a big adjustment from Middle School but Carter is really enjoying it. He has tournaments every weekend and even got to join the Varsity team for the Buckhead Belt competition where Lovett dominated. He has been wrestling a combination of his weight class or one high and JV or Varsity depending on the tournament. He has also started helping with the youth program some by attending their practices when he doesn't have his own.

Siblings - Sibling time often revolves around sports with family trips to GT Basketball games, the boys making the road trip to Birmingham for GT's bowl Football game and cheering on the Packer's.

Christmas

With tweens and teens in the house, Christmas morning starts a little later these days but the kiddos are always excited to see if they have made the "nice" list. Christmas morning started with Santa presents followed by lunch at Pops and Emme's and dinner with friends. We celebrated again with Mimi the next day. The kids favorite gifts were video games and sports tickets (boys) and Disney Doorables and Beauty care (Avery).

Can you get an oreo in your mouth why laying down without using you hands?
