April

With the beautiful April weather, dad was able to fit in several Golf opportunities while mom hit up the gym and cheered on her tennis team. Dad then golfed some more!

Avery (10 years, 8 months) - As we get closer to the end of the school year, we are hitting the first of many "lasts" to come. Avery had her last Environmental Club and Chess Club meetings. She also participated in her final Fun Run helping raise money for a new turf field at KSE.

Parker (13 years, 5 months) - Parker played a lot of baseball this month between rec and travel but he also had a fun month with friends fitting in time for them whenever he had free moments.

Carter (14 years, 11 months) - Baseball continued through April for Carter while track wrapped up at the beginning of the month. We also celebrated Carter's first year in YMSL with the annual awards banquet where Carter received the Outstanding Service Award for his activity during the year.

Easter

Easter morning was spent on quite the search for the kids' Easter Baskets. The bunny hid them well this year and the kids were none to happy about it! Then after a quick tennis match for mom, we met up with Uncle Reid Pops/Emme's for Easter Lunch followed by dinner and an egg hunt at Mimi's.

Orlando Animal Sanctuary

Avery and I had sometime to kill before our flight home and stumbled across the Exotic Animal Experience in Orlando. They are only open via reservations for a few hours once a week which thankfully worked our perfect for our schedule. We spent 3 hours there playing with sloths, lemurs, kangaroos, a capybara, muntjac deer, a porcupine, spider monkeys and more. The owner takes her animal care very seriously and required everyone to wear masks around the monkeys unless smiling for a picture to avoid passing on disease. It was a fun experience but we are definitely ready to get home and see the rest of our family.

Avery was obsessed with the spider monkey
