Mother's Day

The kids went above and beyond with Mother's Day this year. The handmade art work was adorable and mom got a new hat for our beach vacation and a new necklace.

Avery - 9 Months

Three quarters of a year are gone and sweet baby Avery is already 9 months old. Overall Avery is such a sweet and happy baby. She is great, always being on the move and has taken quite well to car/Ergo/stroller naps. She loves attention and looking at people's faces.

While she doesn't have any teeth yet, she is quite the chewer. Her favorite chew toys are her silver rattle, books and anything hard. Speaking of books, she loves to read. She will insist on being read the same book over and over again.

She is wearing 9 month clothes and size 3 diapers. She is a chunky little thing but it seems to be fading a little as she is moving more. She is a great eater and so far we haven't found a food she doesn't like. She eats all table food and typically has 5 bottles and 3-4 meals/snacks a day.

Avery has finally mastered sitting up. While she will push herself up on all fours, she shows no real signs of crawling anytime soon. Instead she prefers to roll to her desired destination. She also has a back scoot move where she lays on her back, pushes her bottom in the air and uses her feet to push her body along the floor.

She has such a delight for her mom, dad, brothers and all those around her!

Weight - 20lb 8oz (80th percentile)
Head Circumference - 46cm (93rd percentile)

Trip to the Great Wolf Lodge

We had a fun weekend trip to the Great Wolf Lodge in Charlotte with some of the boys' best friends. It was a a blast of a weekend, though exhausting and packed with non-stop activities. It was close to Carter's birthday so he got a special set of birthday Wolf Ears and a pass for free Ice Cream for the whole trip. Highlights of the weekend were face painting, magic wands (Parker's name was Giraffe, Carter was Elephant), the arcade, dance parties and lots of water slides!
