Hollywood Studios

Day 1 at the Disney parks took us to Hollywood Studios.  The kids were super excited for their fun vacation and were up early (very early)!  We hit up the new Star Wars area first thing and met Kylo Ren and Chewbacca.  Kylo pretty much terrified Carter, but Parker thought he was pretty awesome and had a little conversation with him.  The rest of the day consisted of lots of shows (Disney Junior, Little Mermaid, Frozen Sing-a-long, Indiana Jones, Lights Camera Action Stunt Show, Muppet's) and some rides sprinkled in as well (Toy Story, Star Tours, Rockin' Roller Coaster, Tower of Terror, Great Movie Ride).  We also hit up the Honey I Shrunk the Kids playground (Avery's favorite).  We grabbed dinner at Hollywood & Vine where Minnie was hosting a Star Studded dinner party for her pals.  After dinner we hit up Fantasmic and caught the new Star Wars fireworks before calling it a day!
Kylo Ren spoke and Carter immediately jumped behind mom.  Parker had no fear.

Chewy was much less intimidating and received a big hug from both boys (must be nice to be one of the good guys)

Avery loved the Disney Junior show
Honey I Shrunked the Kids Playground - A was a sliding machine!

Spring Break at the Happiest Place on Earth

For Carter's Spring Break this year, we packed up the whole family and headed to Disney for a long week in Orlando.  We got out of Atlanta fairly early so we were able to take time for a few stops along the way and get in a round of mini-golf before checking into our hotel and grabbing dinner at Sanaa.  Sanna is an Africa restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Lodge right off the hotel's animal sanctuary.  We arrived a bit before dinner so we could spend some time watching the animals roam around the hotel.  The food was excellent (try the bread service... amazing) and Avery made a great friend from Africa who gave her a charm bracelet.  We made it to bed at a decent hour, ready for our fun week ahead!
Welcome to Florida!

The 18th hole involved some fun water works - even got screams of delight from Avery

This Week at School

Carter's last week before Spring Break involved trying to fit in as much learning as possible for kids that were looking forward to sand, snow, and adventure!
Kindergarten class painting we bought from the Lovett auction.  Carter is showing off the heart he painted.

Parker celebrated reading week at school this week with lots of stories and Dr Seuss fun.
