Animal Kingdom

We picked today at Animal Kingdom to take advantage of the early morning Extra Magic Hours so we would make sure to get everything done in one day.  The boys started on the dinosaur ride while the girls played with some tamer dinosaurs.  Afterward, Carter and Mom added a new roller coaster to Carter's list - Exhibition Everest.  Then we headed to check out the animals - on Kilimanjaro Safari, walk through the Asian forests and then lunch at Tusker House!  The boys along the way located several members of the Lion Guard and at Rafiki's Planet Watch committed to joining the lion guard as well (Avery stepped up as well).  That afternoon, Carter wanted to ride Everest again and we touched base with Nemo, Avery insisted on riding her dinosaur ride (Primeval Whirl) over and over again until Dad started to get a bit queezy.  We had some time after the park closed so we checked out the Wilderness Lodge Resort.  We completed their Hidden Mickey scavenger hunt, got drenched by a geyser, and grabber dinner.

Magic Kingdom - Day 1

Day two and we made our first trip of the week to the Magic Kingdom.  Despite a long day the day prior, the kids were up early and ready to go.  We made it in time to catch the Welcome Show (always magical!) and then we split up for a quick bit.  Dad and Carter rode Space Mountain (Carter proclaimed it was awesome!) while Mom and the littles met Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell.  Then we all rode Aladdin's Magic Carpet before we met our Family Magic Tour group.   The Family Magic Tour consisted of 4 families and a guide trying to solve a mystery at the Magic Kingdom.  On our day we had to find several clues that would help Mickey recharge Bay-Max's (from Big Hero 6) batteries.  We walked all over the park looking for clues, rode several rides (Peter Pan, Tea Cups, Little Mermaid) and even met Peter Pan before coming back to town hall where we presented Mickey with our findings.  It was a ton of walking but the boys loved it.  Carter made sure he was right next to our tour guide the entire time and asked him non-stop questions the whole time.  We spent the rest of the day riding rides, meeting princesses and caught the afternoon parade.  We headed back to our hotel at a decent hour to rest up for an early day tomorrow.

Parker told Rapunzel she was his favorite princess
So she gave him a kiss

Avery was very particular on which hand and how she would hold - and t typically wasn't a way that made things easy.
