June Camps / School

Avery has been enjoying school over the past month.  Her class continued during the summer months so she's enjoying the same routine.  She loves Splash Days on Friday, art and lots of outdoor time.

Ready for Splash Day

Parker is at Summer Adventure camp for the summer.  They have weekly themes with fun activities and a field trip around the theme.  He is in a class with mostly new kids but he doesn't seem to mind.  His teachers say he is an absolute joy in the class ;)

Carter has done a few different camps over the past month.  He spent two weeks at Way 2 Play sports camp, went to Camp Grossology at Lovett for a week and spent a week at Josh Powell day camp in the North Georgia woods.
At Camp Grossology, Carter learned about something gross each day - this day he brought home vomit.  Other topics included pee, blood, slime, boogers, etc.

Happy Birthday Uncle Reid

Uncle Reid had his big 30th birthday this week so Mimi planned a fun Teenage Mutant Ninja party to celebrate.  There were costumes, cake, a pinata, sparklers and 30 birthday presents of course.  Happy Birthday Uncle Reid!

Boys Day at the Braves Game

With both boys having played baseball/tee ball and starting to understand team sports better, they have recently been asking to see the Braves play a game.  Luckily it turned out Georgia Tech Alumni night was being held in late June.  This meant a fun pre-game tailgate with football players and Buzz as well as food and all the Powerade you can drink (since it was 97deg at game time, a good idea).

Overall it was a great evening and the boys made it through 10-innings!

Summer Fun at the Pool

We have really enjoyed spending lots of time at the pool so far this summer.  Avery was a little nervous about it at first but has turned into quite the fish.  Parker has been taking lessons at the pool and is doing quite well.  And Carter has learned new tricks like crazy jumps and underwater flips.

Happy Father's Day

The kids spent a lot of time picking out the perfect gifts for dad including some grill supplies, movies to watch with the boys and a book from each child.  Avery and Parker also made dad these adorable mugs.  Father's Day started a little early when dad got to have breakfast with all three kids at camp Friday morning.  We started actual Father's Day with breakfast at Waffle House and ended the day at the pool with good friends.  Happy Father's Day!

Mom and Dad's Trip to Toronto

Mom and dad were able to take a long weekend in Toronto to celebrate the nuptials of a good friend from High School thanks to grandparents who jumped in to watch the kiddos.  It was a fabulous weekend of friends, sight seeing and sleeping in!  The wedding was perfect - great food and drinks, lots of dancing and a gorgeous new couple!  Congrats Ryan and Marisa and we can't wait to make it back to Toronto with the whole family!
