We spent most mornings at the beach on our trip. The boys (all three) came up with a new way to build race tracks each day. They had Monster Trucks, golf balls and marbles for which they built tracks down the beach. Avery pitched in here and there when she wasn't covering herself with sand. It took a day but Avery developed a love for the water and soon insisted on being carried in just past the wave breaks.
Our 4th of July started in a now familiar place with a familiar activity, decorating and parading a festive golf cart in the annual Sullivan's Island 4th of July Golf Cart Parade! All the kids helped out and gave suggestions to what to put where and the cart turned out looking the best ever. The parade was a blast and ended with snow cones, water play, cupcakes and water jets from a fire truck! The rest of the day was spent at the beach watching a flyover, at the playground, eating ice cream and back at the beach for fireworks.
