June at Camp

Carter asked to go to summer camp where he could do "math, reading, writing, PE, science, art, music, recess and library".  "Just like school?" Dad said.  Carter replied "Yes but without Spanish".  So Carter enjoyed a month of camp at Schenck where he worked on his reading / writing mixed in with typical camp fun.  He had lots of fun, made some new friends and thoroughly impressed Mom and Dad with his work.  He also picked to take electives in Minecraft and Legos,

Parker loves summer camp and we can see why.  He had fun weekly field trips like bowling, movies, Tiny Town and Roller Skating.  Plus special visits like Karate, cooking, science club, reptiles and even Captain Jack Sparrow and Friday Splash Days.  He was so proud of all the fun art he made, he lined it up on the stairs to show it off like a "real gallery".  We love watching his enjoyment for learning!

Avery has enjoyed camp as well and based on the volume of pictures, blocks are her favorite.  And Splash Day, she loves to play with the water!

Father's Day at the Braves Game

For Father's Day this year, Mimi agreed to watch Avery so the boys could take dad to the Braves game with some friends from the neighborhood.  We bought a special package so after the Braves won in the bottom of the ninth, we got to go on the field and play catch for a while.  Then the kids and dad got to run the bases.  The weather was perfect and everyone had an awesome time.  Happy Father's Day to our All Star dad!

Bennett was so excited by a Braves run, he jumped on Colin's leg to celebrate
The boys got on the Jumbo screen a few times - you can see them in the background

Happy Father's Day

Father's Day weekend kicked off with breakfast at camp with Parker and Avery.  Then on Sunday, the kids all gave dad the wonderful gifts they made him and a few fun games.  We are very lucky to have such a wonderful, dad who truly enjoys being in his kid's lives!  And now we are off to the Braves game to celebrate!

Braves Country 5k

The boys had fun at the Lovett fun run earlier this Spring so when we saw there was a Fun Run at the new Braves stadium we signed up.  Carter/Dad did a 1 miler and Parker/Avery did a 50m dash.  The 1 miler finished in the stadium on the field which was super cool and all the kids got medals.  Avery wasn't quite ready to run by herself so mom got to participate too.  Her favorite part may have been the warm up game of hide and seek with her brothers.  All the kids had a great time and asked to sign up for another race soon!
