Christmas Day

Christmas Day started with 3 very excited children who were very excited to see all the fun things Santa brought them.  We eased into the day in matching PJs opening gifts and eating breakfast.  Mom and Dad cleaned up and we headed to Pops and Emme's house for lunch and more Chirstmas fun.  The kids even got a little workout in!  We ended the night hosting the Scott family for Christmas dinner where Dirty Santa was again the big hit.  Avery only wanted to open as many presents as possible which led to her trading every turn she could.  The kids stayed in their jammies the whole day and curled up on the sofa to watch a movie with family.  It was a busy day with lots of love and laughter!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Christmas Eve

We had a full, fun, family packed Christmas Eve!  It started when the kids joined Colin at work.  Basically nothing got done but they had a blast.

After work, we went to Pops and Emme's house where the kids helped decorate cookies using ALL the sprinkles.

And that evening we went to Mimi's for dinner and to open presents.  The kids were spoiled as always though their favorite activity may have been playing with Uncle Reid's new dog, Sky.

Pre-Christmas Fun

December is such a whirlwind of holiday fun!  In addition to school stuff we had a few highlights from the season...  we decorate the house every year but this year Avery handled decorating "her tree" (the one she picked out when we redid the front yard) herself.  Our Elf Pickles came to visit.  Parker was particularly excited to track his movement every day!  He even found another elf toy we had and moved it around daily as well until it came to life one day and joined Pickles.  Parker almost died that day!

Mom went to the annual neighborhood 'Favorite Things' party.  There was an ugly Christmas sweater party.  Mom caught the play 'A Waffle Palace Christmas' with Mimi and Uncle Reido.  And there was neighborhood gingerbread house decorating and caroling.  And more gingerbread house decorating with Mimi.  All so much fun!!!
