A Trip to Cartersville

With a rainy weekend canceling all the boy's sports we decided to take a trip to the Tellus Science Museum.  But on the way we made a stop at a very special place where this journey started almost 5 years ago.
The kids had a great time at the museum.  Highlights were gem mining and the fossil room.  Dad had to be dragged out of the brain teaser area and Mom wanted to take all the gems home (luckily we were able to keep a few)!

Spring Soccer - Medal Day

Midway through Parker's soccer season, the kids get medals to reward their progress and show of sportsmanship after their game.  Today was that day.  First team Mickey had their game.
And then it was the awards ceremony - and snacks.
Carter insisted on helping hand out medals.
Parker was excited about his medal though potentially as excited about his snack!

Easter

Easter started with a disturbing discovery...  the Easter bunny lost some of his tail in our front door!
But that didn't dampen the excitement of the day!
After a fun morning, we headed over to Mimi's house for brunch with the family.  The kids each received an Easter basket and Avery was the recipient of some adorable Easter apparel.
We all settled in for a yummy lunch complete with bunny ears!
Then it was off to hunt eggs.
We spend the rest of the afternoon opening eggs, playing with our new toys and enjoying family time (Carter trying to act out Corn on the Cobb during charades is priceless!).
Happy Easter.  We are so blessed to have wonderful family, friends and fortune this year!

Easter with Friends

We had a mini-Easter weekend celebration with a few of good friends from school.  The kids died eggs (shirtless of course), ate some yummy food (Chef Gomez always makes the best food) and had an egg hunt with real eggs.

Avery - 8 months

Avery is growing quick!  At eight months she is full of life.  She loves playing with toys, getting attention from anyone, chewing on anything she can get her hands on, standing up (with help), and watching the ceiling fans.
She seems to love being at daycare.  She smiles whenever she arrives in the morning and we get daily reports of her happy, smiley, easy going nature (she has been called the baby greeter).  She has lots of friends in her room and has recently enjoyed rolling around on the floor and playing in exersauzers next to them.
She is in 6 and 9 month clothes and size 2/3 diapers.  She takes 5 bottles a day and eats 2-4 meals/snack.  She loves just about everything she has eaten.  She doesn't have any teeth yet but by her drooling and chewing, we expect them anytime now.
She adores her brothers and they return the favor.  Carter refers to her as "Princess Avery" and Parker likes to tell her "she's so cute".  They may squeeze a little tight with their hugs, but Avery just gives them a gummy grin in return.
