Winter Break - Cruising

We set sale from Ft Lauderdale for 4 nights on Royal Caribbean's Freedom of the Seas. It is a smaller boat but there was plenty to keep the kids occupied between friends and a few stops. The boys even made daily trips to the gym! The kids enjoyed the freedom on the ship but were kind enough to indulge the parents in a few group dinners.

Winter Break - Ft Lauderdale

While the moms were able to escape to Mexico in January, the whole family was ready for some sun come February and thankfully we had some friends who felt the same way so we booked a quick Caribbean cruise.  We left from Ft Lauderdale and decided to fly down a few days early for some extra fun including a swamp boat tour and rainy day activities at a local fun park.

January

The kids all kept busy with various indoor activities this month while we tried to stay warm and busy. Dad did a great job holding down the fort while mom traveled making sure everyone was clothed, fed and at school on time!

Avery (9 years, 5 months) - Avery kept busy in  two sports this winter, giving volleyball a shot. She definitely preferred basketball but we were proud of her for trying something new!

Her class won a fun surprise basket after their trip to the Cobb safety village
Ready for a typical Atlanta snowstorm - aka a few flurries
Enjoying picking out new rubber bands for her braces
Cheering on her brothers at wrestling

Parker (12 years, 2 months) - Despite many reservations, Parker had a successful first season wrestling even winning his bracket at the conference championship with a strong pin after being down big in points. He is also in the midst of basketball, having a blast playing with a bunch of friends from baseball.

Carter (13 years, 8 months) - Carter wrapped up his last season of Middle School wrestling enjoying it enough to want to continue in high school. He has really enjoyed the experience on being on this team and we are sad it has come to an end but excited to see what is instore.

Cleaning out many years of his Little League baseball hats

Siblings - While the boys spent a lot of time on the wrestling mat together this month, Avery was excited to join them for a special service project to celebrate Lovett's MLK Jr day of service making sandwiches for the local homeless population. The boys also joined Avery and dad for a special breakfast at school while mom was out of town.
