Last Day of School

First day and last day for the Holden kids. Goodbye 10th, 8th and 6th. Onto 2 in High School with 11th, 9th and 7th.

Last day of 10th grade for Carter. He had a great semester making Scholar's list and completing his first AP exam. He has a challenging 11th grade year ahead and is ready for time to rest up this summer.

Parker completed 8th grade and is officially a High School student! He grew a lot this year learning to lean into the classes he enjoys, push himself in classes that are hard and work through challenging teachers. He has a solid group of friends and is ready for 9th grade.
Last day of K, 2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th
Last day K through 8th

After his final exam, Parker celebrated with a pool party, the 8th grade social and a pizza dinner.

The next day, he had the Eight Grade Recognition ceremony.

Avery had a great first year of Middle School. Most of her 5th grade classmates transitioned with her to Middle School but kids from several other schools joined. It was her first time really changing classes (she has 7 each day) and having to handle carrying a backpack with all her supplies plus a lunch box and instrument to/from school each day. She was in all honors classes and ended the year with mostly all A's and a few B's. She enjoyed the school change and is going into 7th grade with confidence!

Avery celebrated the last day with the neighborhood end-of-year water gun fight for the Middle School kids.

More Banana Ball Fun

When the Savannah Bananas came into town to take on the Party Animals, there was no way Avery was going to miss the opportunity for more Banana Ball in her life.  She was lucky in that Mom was able to procure great seats to all three games in Atlanta at the Braves' Truist Park.  Her first game was with three of her good neighborhood friends and their Dads.

Saying "hi" to Blooper
The seats were second to none being literally row 1 behind the Party Animals dugout.  The girls and dads took early seats to watch the pregame fun start....
And Avery and friends were quickly on the big screen being interviewed in front of the stadium.  The question was "What does Randy The Macho Man Savage sound like?"... luckily Avery's friend Piper convinced her to say "Oh Yeah!"
Dad and Mr Parsons looking good!
The top of the dugout was a constant stage of Party Animals entertainers and players.  The girls were asked to get up and on the dugout to help with the pregame stretching and workout.
The first game was a lot of fun and great time was had both by the girls and dads watching a close game but Party Animals win.
Game two was again Party Animals and Bananas, this time Avery took Mimi to see her first game.  While no big screen or on field entertainment, Avery was very happy to see the Bananas take game 2.
Sunday was Avery's final game with just her and Dad.  They both also had Banana Ball Backstage passes so they arrived as the gates opened (more than 4 hours before first pitch).
Being early provided a lot of time to see some of the players prior to the backstage event hanging out in the kids area.

Soon it was time to head to the field for the BBB meet and greet and Avery again found all her favorites.

All the BBB Participants!
Our BBB Golden Ticket this time included time in the Bananas dugout pregame.
Which included a surprise hello from the Dancing Umpire!
Then a walk through the infield and to the other dugout before returning to our seats!
Parker happened to also be at the game with a friend and took a photo from some ways away of Dad and Avery.
Soon it was gametime, and again Avery and Dad were right behind the Party Animals dugout being in all the fun while watching the game.

It was a long weekend of Banana Ball, but Avery wouldn't trade it for anything!  This is her happy place.
