It was still doggie time when we got to the beach so Carter was thrilled. There were lots of dogs for Carter to chase after...and point at!After working up a sweat chasing all those dogs, it was time to cool off with a quick dip.
Carter wasn't quite so sure about the really big pool.
So we snapped a quick pic with dad...and headed back...to play in the sand!
Carter had fun digging in the sand and watching the passersby.
But he had the most fun watching dad build sand castles...
And then "boom"ing them down. After a little more walking/running around, it was time to head home for lunch and a nap.
When we woke up, we decided to get out of the afternoon sun and head to the Charleston Children's museum. Carter immediately walked right in and started to play. He liked chewing on the boats in the water room.
Then we headed outside to check out the fire truck.
Carter gave even gave driving the truck a spin.
He was in a driving kind of mood so our next stop was the captain's wheel on the pirate ship.
After all that driving, Carter worked up quite the appetite so we headed to the Super Market to grab a bite. Carter had fun shopping...
After all that driving, Carter worked up quite the appetite so we headed to the Super Market to grab a bite. Carter had fun shopping...
but he couldn't resist biting into an apple. He was in the fruit mood, so he filled up his cart with apples, lemons and oranges.
After his refueling, Carter headed to the Toddler room where he immediately found the slide. He spent quite a while sliding down...
And the crawling back up to do it all over again.
Eventually that got old so Carter headed to the Castle where he gave the throne a try.
But had more fun exploring the dungeon with dad.
Our last stop was the ball room, where our engineer and engineer-to-be carefully studied how all the machines worked. All that brain activity was exhausting so we headed home to refuel.
You would think that the little guy would be exhausted after all that activity but not Carter. So after dinner we jumped in the golf cart and headed to Sullivans Children's Park. Carter had a blast following another little boy around and imitating his moves. Carter had fun playing the the swing and slide but his favorite was the play house. Carter loved running between the windows and "jumping" in and out.
It was a fun-filled day for the little man which means a good night sleep is ahead of us!
