We had a wedding to attend but made it a jam packed weekend catching up with lots of friends and site seeing. The potential highlight of the trip was this guy...
An Albino squirrel wandering the National Mall! We hit up the Smithsonian American History, Air & Space and Natural History Museums.
We toured the US Botanical Gardens.
And wandered the mall...Unfortunately it wasn't my type of mall ;) But we did see the sites.
And even stopped by to see Barak.
Where we ran into the Dixon's! They were in town for a boat show so we were excited our trips coincided (we're even more excited to get to ride on their amazing future boat one day!).
We were also able to squeeze in dinner Friday night with my BF from college Rebecca and her husband. But the weekend was all about Alana and Tanner's wedding. They both graduated from High School with us so we were excited to be able to see a lot of our Lovett friends we haven't seen in a while.
The wedding was at an old church downtown and the reception was at an old home (it reminded us of our wedding venue). Everything was beautiful. I loved the use of cotton in the bouquet, how unique! And the bride looked beautiful!
We had a great time dancing, catching up and being adults for the night (a rare event these days!)
It was a fabulous weekend! We are very grateful to Pat for watching the kids. Hopefully we can do it again soon ;)
