Parker wasn't too sure about the water and preferred to spend his time in mom/dad's arms.
Carter, on the other hand, dove right in!We also took in some culture with a trip to the Decatur Arts Festival.
The weather was perfect so we had a picnic lunch.
I'm not sure the boys appreciated the art, but they did have fun with their balloons and Caitlyn!
Carter even invited Caitlyn on a stroller ride.
Which meant they were wide awake for an afternoon golf game with the neighborhood kids. Carter has a bit to learn about the game seeing as how every time he got a hold of a ball, he would drop the club, yell "home run" and then run pretend bases... we will work on this.
Over the weekend, Carter started an impromptu game of Ring Around The Rosie. Parker has been extremely into Carter copying his every move and had to join in.
..."we all fall down" ended in a non-stop stream of laughter.
Everyone was in on it and the game lasted many rotations.
Over the holiday Parker continued to work on his fork skills... something tells me this zucchini bread may be more than the boy's mouth can handle.
After nap on Monday, Carter woke up very excited to go to the pool again. Once there, any trepidation was gone and full on jumps to the pool commenced.
Unlike his first trip a few days prior, Parker warmed up (after getting used to the cool water temp) and had a blast as well. As long as Carter is near by, Parker is always in a great mood.Soon after we got there, Carter's best friend and neighbor, Hailey came by and a pool party started.
Much of which consisted with the brothers creating their own custom water feature.
Rounding out our long extended weekend was an after dinner bike ride. The boys had a blast.
Carter decided to take out his scooter for a bit and called out when Dad and Parker rode by.
While Parker was all smiles the whole time.
Needless to say, we were all very happy to hit the pillow come the end of the day Monday.
