The boys love the band that plays on the patio. They give out instruments to the kids so they can play along. Parker seemed to enjoy hitting his shaker on dad's head as much as he did actually playing with it.
Then he got a little silly with his straw while big brother flirted with the girls at the table next to us. That is Carter in the background working up the courage to give the little girl the leaf in his hand. He already gave her two tambourines. At least he is sharing!
Carter was also very interested in the band. He walked up at one point and asked for the microphone. When he got it, he kept asking when the train is coming...
Luckily for Carter is was right around the corner. He was SOOOOO excited when it came by.
When mom was little she use to eat here and in between trains she would put pennies on the track for the train to smush. Dad and Carter took a try at the game and Carter LOVED it. We have a collection of smushed pennies and dimes (not so successful) in his room.
The boys have been playing so well lately that this picture isn't a huge surprise but it was adorable. Parker wanted his chair pushed really close to Carter. Then Carter grabbed his milk cup and gave the straw to Parker so he could drink some. Carter held the cup for Parker for a good 5 minutes. So sweet.
Right before we left, the band asked people to give them requests. Carter ran up and gave his recommendation... Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. The band gave it a shot for a verse or two. He was so excited!
Saturday night we ate al fresco again at our neighbor's house. Our sweet next-door neighbors are moving to Birmingham next weekend so we had a going away dinner for them. Poor Carter's best pal is leaving. We will definitely miss them!
Sunday brought Father's Day so stay tuned!
