Today was Carter's end of the season soccer party. He played on the Houston Dynamo's again this spring with 6 friends from school and a few other children. Ian, one of his school friend's dad was the coach. Mom was Team Mom again so she was on party planning duty. We had the party at a local park and the kids ran themselves silly playing soccer and enjoying the gorgeous weather (mid-80's and sunny).
Carter enjoyed soccer again this spring. He started the season wanting to score lots of goals but by the end he preferred to play defense or goalie. There was a pretty big skill adjustment from last fall with all the kids. He wore down by the end of the season (as did most of the team) but he stayed in every game as long as he was allowed to.
We're trying out baseball/tee-ball this summer so we'll see what he prefers to do this fall.
