Avery - 5 Months

Avery had a rough beginning to her 5th month with a sudden bout of reflux, general winter congestion, and sleep regression.  She was up every few hours for around 2-3 weeks which wore mom and dad way down.  Thankfully her reflux seems to be under control and she has started sleeping well again (up maybe once or twice a night).

None of this seemed to damper her mood as Avery continues to be a happy baby.  We pulled our her jumper this month as she seems to enjoy standing.  She will also now roll both ways when she is in the mood.

She has just started growing out of her 3 months clothes so we are transitioning to 6 month ones.  Thankfully we have a ton of choices thanks to lots of great friends.

Avery had a big month with her Baptism, first Christmas and New Years.  She goes to bed between 6:00 and 6:30 at night so she wasn't close to making it to midnight.

Avery is starting to really enjoy grabbing at her toys when she is in her bouncer or on her mats.  She also likes to put her hands together.  And she will grab the hair or clothing of anyone who is holding her.

When she is able to stay up, she has been joining the family for dinner in her high chair.  She isn't eating solids yet but she and the boys get a kick out of having her there.

Avery has recently taken to chewing on her thumb. She doesn't suck on it or take a pacifier so this could be the start of thumb sucking or early teething. She is growing up quickly on us!
