Carter wasted no time jumping back into school after the holidays. His January units consisted of persuasive writing, multiplication and division, wood study, the United States, Mystery book club and meteorology. He also finished up his annual Chinese lessons.
Parker wrapped up his nonfiction reading unit in reading, started working on opinion writing, double digit adding and subtracting, word study and map skills. In art class he got to help create texture which an artist turned into a new wall mural in the Lower School. And his class made an awesome map of the world.
Avery had several fun events this month. All the kids wore silly socks to celebrate "s" week. She got to me a chapel helper again. And they celebrated the 100 day of school. Avery worked really hard to try and get it to snow this year. She slept with a spoon under her pillow, put a white crayon in the fridge, wore her PJs backwards, put ice cubes in the toilet and did snow dances. On a cute note, each week the kids get to submit one word that starts with the letter of the week to go on their class board. For 'j' week Avery submitted "Jordan".
