Avery - back to school and off to Kindergarten!

Avery started Kindergarten on August 1 and could not have been more excited!  She had a few warm-up activities including a practice run on the bus and a meet and great with her teachers.  She is going to King Springs Elementary school whose mascot is the Lion.  This is a good thing because there are LOTS of lions in our house.  Her teachers are Mrs. Garriga and Mrs. E and she has several friends in her class including one of her besties, Caroline.

She woke up bright and early for the first day of school and joined the other 100+ kids in our neighborhood headed to King Springs that morning for an annual first day picture.  

Mom drove her to school and tried to walk her in but Avery wasn't having it and refused to get out unless we did carpool ;)  She is rode the bus home that afternoon and LOVED it.  All smiles and excitement from this one!  Hopefully it stays that way all year!
