What a crazy month March turned out to be. Everything started normal... we had some adult fun, the kids started baseball and softball season, we had dentist appointments, went to work and fun with friends. And then life slowed way down March 13 thanks to Covid-19. We were home bound for the rest of the month minus the occasional grocery store run for dad. Thankfully we live in a great neighborhood so we still see lots of friends on daily walks and while playing in the yard but the weather had been lovely!
We also got to celebrate dad's birthday with a lazy day at home, Porch Light take out for dinner and a homemade cake from Avery!
Avery (5 years, 7 months) - Avery started the month hanging out with friends and playing Softball. Dad was her coach this season and the Black Kitties were preparing for an awesome Spring! When the lock down came we spent more time around the house but Avery seemed to take it in stride. She has a few close friends around that she has been able to socially distance play with and between that and the great weather, she has been enjoying the slower pace of things.
Parker (8 years, 4 months) - Parker started the month with his baseball team going 2-0 before the lock down. He was playing pitcher this season which was new to him and he was wavering on how he felt about it. His favorite things about being home more are spending time with Morgan and Maddie. He always makes sure they are near to him.
Carter (9 years, 10 months) - Carter started the month with a baseball tournament for his Slammers team and a 2-0 start for his rec team. He was really enjoying getting back into the swing of rec ball. Carter has been handling the shut down fairly well. His closest friends are school friends so that has been hard for him but he has been hanging in very well.
Siblings - The boys were all about baseball until we were stuck around the house. But we made the most of it with regular Bingo games with neighbors, fun activities like a Bear Hunt (our house has 22 bears up), rock painting and finding, walks, movie nights and lots of snuggles.
