In addition to Back-to-School and Avery's Birthday, we fit some more fun in August. Mom had a few meals with the ladies while dad fit in Braves games, a neighborhood golf tournament and a trip to Washington DC / Baltimore. The whole family also started all the Fall Activities - tennis, softball, scouts, baseball, soccer, intermurals and football. It should keep our days quite busy for the season!
Avery (7 years) - Avery has been working her way back into the school routine fairly well. She is really enjoying her teacher and has made some new friends in her class. She is still taking advantage of the summer weather with pool time and afternoon playdates.

Parker (9 years, 9 months) - It's back to the ball fields for Parker! He is playing baseball again this Fall through Smyrna Little League with dad as his coach. And he is doing travel ball again this year with the same team as last year. It's a lot of baseball but Parker has really been enjoying it lately. In school he is playing the recorder in music class so we have been able to enjoy many renditions of Hot Cross Buns. And his other favorite class so far is Science.

Carter (11 years, 3 months) - Carter is also spending lots of time at the ball fields playing and watching! He is doing rec and travel ball as well this Fall. And he has decided to give flag football another go. So between sports and Boy Scouts he is super busy lately! He did have time to fit in an awesome Father/Son camping trip to North Carolina. They went ziplining and white water rafting with some of Carter's friends from school.
Siblings - The boys started school a week after Avery so we took a trip as a family of 4 to the Van Gogh experience currently in Atlanta. It is an immersive look at Van Gogh and his artwork and we all thought it was pretty cool. Definitely recommend it!
Otherwise the kids have been enjoying hanging out together. They definitely have regular sibling squabbles but when given a choice they prefer playing together than apart.
