Having a "normal" school year after the chaos of the past few years meant that Avery's teachers went all out with planning fun end of the year activities for the kids. They had an infinite number of theme days including Spy Day, Watermelon Day and Glow Day, they made custom shirts for Field Day and spent a day playing games, there were t-shirt book reports, butterflies to release, chicks to watch incubate and hatch, they had an end of the year award ceremony where Avery was voted "Future President" by her classmates and given a "Teamwork" award from her teacher, there was a 2nd grade luau with kona ice and we ended it all celebrating King Springs 5th grade graduates with a car parade. It was a chaotic month but so nice to get to celebrate a wonderful year!
