With a packed Winter Sports season, we decided we needed a quick family escape. Carter didn't want to miss his wrestling meet so the other Holden's booked a 3 night Disney cruise. Thankfully Carter was in good hands with Mimi. We flew in the night before and made it to the port mid-morning to wait for our boarding time. But thanks to some Disney magic and Avery's amazing headband, we were selected to be the Family of the Day! This meant we were the very first family to board the ship, had a private photo op with Tiana and basically had the boat to ourselves for a while.
We spent the rest of the day meeting characters, taking advantage of fun on the ship, eating too much food and enjoying some warmer Florida weather.

Day 2 highlights included lots of ice cream, dinner with Spiderman and Pirate Night. Avery also told our waiter how much she LOVES Disney cornbread and was treated to a whole plate each night.

Mom and dad started Day 3 with the Castaway 5k before we all spent the day swimming, biking and enjoying the son. We saw some more characters back on the boat and had dinner with a fun show at Arendelle.
It was a quick trip and we are ready to get back to Carter but glad we got a few days away before school starts back up!
