Christmas was more lowkey than in the past but still a wonderful and magical time. The kids received everything on their lists and more and we got to see lots of family. We spent Christmas Eve at Mimi's opening presents and having dinner. We ended the evening with the Christmas Story and then headed home to get ready for Santa. Avery took care of setting out the milk and cookies and she made sure to spread some reindeer food in the front yard. Thankfully it all seemed to work as we were well taken care of by the man in the red suit. The kids were super excited to open their presents. We were lucky to get to see Pops and Emme later in the day and have dinner with Mimi. We ended the evening celebrating with some neighbors and letting the kids play with their new toys. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Christmas Fun
Christmas seemed to come up quick this year but we fit in some of our favorite holiday traditions. The house was decked out like always with 4 trees and lots of lights. Our elves AJ and Pickles came back to make sure everyone was behaving and regale us with their antics. We also got to decorate cookies with Emme and enjoy some holiday lights.

A Holiday Trip to Asheville
Thanks to Covid it has been a while since we have made it to Asheville to see Grandma and Grandpa so we decided to fit a quick trip in between the end of school and Christmas. We made sure to fit in some holiday fun starting with a trip to the Holiday Lights at the Arboretum. The gnomes were the overall favorite though Carter was pretty pumped about his Reese's smores too. Up next we visited the Grove Park Inn to check out the Gingerbread competition. We also fit in a trip to Target to spend some Christmas money and time at a trampoline park to get out all the extra energy.

Santa Visits
As in past years we visited a few different Santa's this year to make sure we had a chance to make sure EVERYTHING made it onto our Christmas lists. Up first was Jeff Rothman where the kids appreciated Hot Chocolate and cookies while dad got a beer. Avery asked for a Roblox Gift Card, fluffy chair and a rainbow high dollhouse. Parker wanted a dirt bike, baseball cards and a phone. Carter couldn't come up with anything for his list but he did request to wear matching PJs for the pictures.
Up next we went to Phipps Plaza to see their Santa. Avery wanted rainbow high dolls, car and dollhouse, a new scooter and Legos. The boys weren't interested in making lists.
Up last was a visit to see Santa at our neighborhood clubhouse. Mimi came as well and we all wore festive hats to celebrate.
