Sweet Avery is still in newborn mode and seems to spend 20+ hours a day sleeping. We wake her to feed and she goes right back down. She's pretty cute when sleeps and we're glad someone is able to sleep through all that hospital noise.
The boys came by for another visit (after washing their Big Brother shirts so they could proudly wear them two days in a row and show off as school). Parker has really taken to Avery. He likes to watch over her and give her kisses. He calls her Avery Lillibith (Elizabeth is a mouthful for a 2-year old).
Carter likes sister too though he is upset with her name. He has asked us to change it to Flower Pumpkin Rose (not sure that is going to happen). He also seems to miss mom/dad so he made sure to get lots of snuggles during his visit.
The boys did make a plea to spend the night at the hospital and demonstrated how that would work. It involved lots of giggles and rolling on each other. I think we made the correct decision that their idea wouldn't be restful for anyone! Luckily hospital policy agrees and that made letting them down easier.
Avery had a few grand parents come visit as well.Mimi |

And of course mom/dad got lots of sleepy snuggle time as well.
While it's nice to get the help in the hospital and know everyone is being taken care of, we are definitely ready to head home and settle into our life as a family of five.
