October at School

Avery had a fun month at school. Her class spent a lot of time on community helpers, fall and Halloween. She has also been working hard on her colors, numbers and the alphabet. She wants to be a helper all the time and is still a stickler to the rules... as she knows them. Her vocabulary is coming along well and she has mastered her favorite words: "Avery's" and "Mine".

Parker had a great month at school - fire fighters, fall activities and lots of art. Highlight #1 was the magical pumpkin patch. The class planted magic seeds, did some special chants and the next day they turned into pumpkins. Highlight #2 was the start of the Presidential Campaign at School. Percy the rooster is running against Billy the duck. Parker's class is responsible for campaigning and he is on the Billy campaign. They made a campaign video and have gone to all the classrooms at school to talk about why they should vote for their candidate. Go Billy!

Carter has been enjoying first grade. Math, P.E. and Science are always his favorite subjects. He has weekly math, reading and spelling assessments and even his first Spanish test. Fun activities this month included WorldFest, Homecoming and the Fall Festival!
