Parker's request for LA was to see the Hollywood sign and mom wanted to do something active so we spent a morning at Griffin park. We hiked to see the Hollywood sign and then visited the Observatory (Museum and Planetarium). The kids tolerated the hike but preferred to use the binoculars to see the Hollywood sign. We very blessed with perfect weather in the morning and the hike gave beautiful views of the city and Pacific ocean. The museum was substantially larger than we expected and included lots of very detailed exhibits. We could have doubled our stay here if we had more time.
Carter's request for LA was to see the History museum. They has large gem and animal exhibits but the dinosaurs were the big hit. It is always impressive to see the scale of dinosaurs and learn about their evolution into modern day animals.
