Parker has been demonstrating his voice this week. He definitely coos and makes a few other sounds. He's funny about it though because he seems to talk the most when no one is looking. We can lay him on his play mat and he'll chat with his toys or his reflection in the mirror. But as soon as he sees you he stops as demonstrated in this video.
Parker's new shill this week is chewing on his hands
It he isn't eating or sucking on his paci, in his mouth his hands go. He seems to prefer his paci for comfort but his hands will work in a pinch. With the weather being a bit colder, Parker spent his time in the house playing on his mat...
and smiling for his family.
Such a little cutie pie!Carter (21 months)
Carter is continuing to show more independence. He likes to do things himself and will say "No Mama" or "No Dada" when he doesn't want help. He will then say say "Help" when you are allowed to come assist him. Beside feeding himself (using grown up spoons/forks), he has shown an interest in bathing himself. He needs help getting the soap on the sponge but he will wash his stomach, arms and legs.
In school and at home, we have been working on colors, shapes, ABCs and numbers. He has started picking up the colors and shapes. And he knows a few letters. His favorite word this week is 'Animal'. Carter has also started saying his friend from school's names.
But as usual, most of his time at home was spent doing what Carter does best... Playing!
