A Family of Runners

We signed up to walk the 5k since we had two adorable boys and one big stroller.  Carter made sure to fuel up before the race with several bananas.  

And some really good stretching.

Dad decided to wear Parker so he could get a birds eye view of all the action.

Soon it was time to line up.

And soon we were off.  The race/walk went from Turner Field, past the capital and Georgia State and then back. 

The weather was perfect and we had a great time.  Parker was a big hit and loved all the attention.  He had so much fun "running" while on dad that he stayed that way the whole time.

There were a ton of people so it was a bit challenging maneuvering around the stroller around everyone.  We finished around 46 minutes (4.5 mile pace),a personal best for both boys ;)  I'm not sure we will be repeating this anytime soon but it was definitely a fun family activity!
