Parker's First Birthday Party - The Cake

Parker's birthday cake was extra special as it was baked with love by Aunt B with a little help from sous-chef Carter!

I think it turned out great!

When it was time for cake, we changed Carter into the Holden cake-eating outfit.  We tried to get a shot with Parker and his crown but it didn't last too long.

He was too excited about his balloon!

Carter was pretty excited about the cake.

Dad held Parker back because all he wanted to do was grab the candle.

Once the candle was blown out, he dove right in...

After a brief stop for confirmation that he was really supposed to do this.

First bite, he wasn't too sure.  

But he quickly got the hang of it.

Eventually his concern for the stuff all over his hand overtook his interest in the cake.

And he started throwing cake on the floor, unfortunately there were no dogs to clean it up (he was really confused!).

But he made a decent dent in it.

He wasn't too messy but he sure did look cute in his little outfit!
