Parker's First Birthday Party - Main Event

After all the set-up it was soon time for the big party.  Parker's first guest arrived in style (Parker was still getting in some beauty sleep prior to the shindig)...

and promptly enjoyed some dessert with Aunt B.

We grabbed some family pictures before the guests arrived.

Parker quickly woke and joined the party group dressed in his birthday best,

Parker was in a great mood.  He loved all the attention and being passed around.

It also helped that dad gave him his first beer...

Just kidding... wrong birthday!  But he was luckily enough to get some pizza and lemonade from Uncle Michael (and who knows what else we didn't catch on camera!).

It is always fun to have an event where people from different areas of your life collide.  It was especially nice to see our local family and a special thanks to Aunt Cheryl for taking pictures!

There were lots of kids (Carter wanted to invite his friends) so we had some crafts...

and some other toys we brought over from the house to entertain everyone.  Fortunately the weather was nice so the kids could also run around outside and blow off some steam.

After cake, there was a quick outfit change...

Soon it was time to say "Good-Bye" to our guests

We really appreciate everyone who came to celebrate and those who sent their well wishes from afar!  Our littlest man is very loved!
