Carter also decided to get brave and venture beyond the calm waters behind the sand bar and wanted to venture our to the big waves.
Parker was interested as well, but only if he was being held. Every time the water would break he would yell "splash".
Then it was back to dump truck duty for Parker...
While Dad and Carter continued to get wetter and wetter in the surf.
The boys then decided to head down the beach to some old breaker rocks.
This has always been a great place to find crabs and small fish and the boys both had a blast in the little rock pools.
The water moved fast here and Carter soon found his feet sinking in the sand... Dad gave a little help and suddenly we had a boy (and dad) without feet!
As we sat in the water and the boys explored, they suddenly decided a mud bath was in order for dad.
This was a good 15 minute activity covering dad's back, arms, and finally head.
Parker soon decided he wanted to just float. He would sit in the water like he was going to do a push up and would then let his feet float up. He found this hilarious.
A few more walks to the big waves...
While Parker continued the construction work.
After naps, we took a golf cart ride around the island to check out Ft. Moultrie, the island dock, the beach and the playground.
Parker tried to make a break for the edge of Ft Moultrie. |

We had to drag someone out of the Fort at closing time. |
