The 6 1/2 hour "four movie" drive went very well and Avery spent the trip either sleeping, talking and laughing with her brothers (with her facing backwards she can see both) or taking a quick stop for a bottle or diaper change. After a quick checking to our family suite at the All Star Music Resort we were all smiles and off, looking for some later afternoon adventure before dinner.
Carter and Parker immediatly asked to go golfing. We knew this did not mean a set of clubs and a golf cart, but a putter, a bright colored ball, and a course as only Disney can do at the Winter Summerland Miniature golf. It is a fun course that is at the base of Blizzard Beach and shares in a similar theme with Santa setting up a summer shop in Florida.
The course was very well themed and was a lot of fun. This was also the first time Carter was actually able to try and count his shots (he used to play more like a hockey player dragging the ball to the hole - Parker still does).
Lining up a shot |
Setting up another "hole-in-one' |
The boys (all three had a blast) and Avery was enjoying hanging out in her Ergo carrier (something she was going to get very confortable in over the next week).
Best friend brothers |
Carter was especially excited when he nailed his first legitimate hole in one!
A very proud golfer |
Carter's second hole in one! The "moguls" hole was a hit - note Parker in the back, he had to play this hole at least 4 times |
After our golfing adventure, we were all getting anxious for dinner. Luckily, a short car and monorail ride (Avery had no idea what was going on), and we were well fed at the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian Resort.
We quickly all headed to bed and readied for what was sure to be a fun and exciting week to come at the parks.
