After several months, summer baseball ended in early July for the boys. They both had a blast playing with their teams but were definitely ready for a break from the heat and some downtime.
Carter played on the Smyrna 14u All-Star team which the boys named the Sabers. He played with some old friends but many new ones as well and enjoyed the experience of playing some higher level ball than rec for a bit. The team played well and even won a tournament despite this being the first tournament baseball experience for many of the boys. Carter got lots of reps at catcher and pitcher with some time in the infield as well.
Parker finished up his Smyrna Slammers season with many strong performances earning 4 rings in 6 tournaments. It is the last time this group will be together as the boys split off for Middle School ball so it was a wonderful season to end the experience. And celebrating with an epic water inflatable party was the best.
