Parker (4 Weeks)
We are almost to the point where Parker was supposed to join the world and we can definitely tell a difference. He is spending more time awake each day.He likes looking around though he still doesn't really focus on anything.
Parker loves to be held and sleep next to or on mom/dad.
When he is in the mood, he will fuss when you put him down until you pick him up. He is still on a 3 hour feeding schedule so he usually makes the first two stretches at night in his sleeper but he usually wants to be in the bed with you for the 5-8 stretch.
He is doing good with his feedings so we're hoping for a great progress report at his 1 month appointment this week!
Carter (19 months, 1 Week)
Carter has learned the word "No". When you ask him if he wants to do anything he says "No" very quickly and with conviction. For some reason he doesn't know the word "yes"...hmmmm. He is very interested in the camera but not a big fan of the flash. You have to snap your picture quick before he closes the flash. Hence we have lots of pictures that look like this.
Carter is still infatuate by Elmo. He also has this ride on Zebra he loves to bounce on. This week he decided to combine the two by taking Elmo for a ride. He's a crazy one-handed rider but luckily Elmo survived.Occasionally when we will walk out of a store with Carter, he will look at the sky, throw his hands in the air and yell "Free". We have no idea where that came from so we're guessing he picked it up at daycare. It's pretty funny!
Carter has lost interest in pulling the ornaments off the tree and moved onto hiding under the tree.
He usually does this in order to hang out with his pal, Morgan.
Luckily she puts up with him really well... despite his occasional tail pulling. Carter is still doing well with Parker. He has the occasional fit when he wants attention and someone is holding the baby. And he is very interested in playing with the baby toys but overall he is a great big brother!
