Costa Rica - Monteverde (part 3)

One our last full day, we went to El Tigre Waterfalls. We did the 5km hike to the 4 waterfalls and 9 hanging bridges, finishing with a horseback ride back up the mountain and a Costa Rican lunch. This was one of our other favorite experiences of the trip! El Tigre is a little ways outside town so it is generally less crowded than other local hikes. Its rated intermediate as while its mainly downhill there are some moderate up hill sections and uneven terrain. It was fairly cloudy when we started the hike but the sun came out by the end/ Thankfully we had a plethora of layers to handle the changing temperature and rain. The kids generally managed it well likely due to the incredible scenery and Avery's trusty walking stick.

We opted to ride horses rather than hike back to the top
