Halloween in King Valley

We enjoyed a few annual Halloween activities in the neighborhood. First is pumpkin carving with neighbors in the cul de sac by our house.

Next is the annual neighborhood Halloween party.  This was the biggest year yet with over 500 people attending to enjoy bounce houses, a DJ, face painting, pizza and lots of neighborhood fun!

After the party, dad took off to trick or treat with Parker and Avery.  They made it around the entire neighborhood loop and filled two bags of candy each!  Carter meanwhile headed home to hand out candy with mom and Mimi.  He said this was his favorite activity because he gets to see all the costumes.

Halloween at School

For Halloween, Lovett has a big festival that the Lower School participates in all day.  Both boys wore their ninja costumes from last year again this year to school.

Up first is the costume parade...

Then it was off to the festival.  There were games, inflatables, snacks and tons of activities to entertain everyone for 4 hours.  Both boys came home with a very full goodie bag!

Avery had a party in her class at school.  Mom and Mimi were able come help out with the craft project - pumpkin picture frames.

October

October was a busy month as usual for our crew!  Dad got a few new pieces of hardware winning a work kickball tournament and running in his first 10 mile race with some neighbors.  We also had some fun birthdays to celebrate with our good friend Ashley turning 40 (girls day wine tasting in Dahlonega and an epic evening bash).  We also did a brewery tour for our friend Jason's 40th.

Avery (4 years, 2 months) - Little ball of energy Avery had a busy month!  She continued working hard at soccer and definitely seems to have improved each week.  Avery is into make-up, dancing, whatever the boys are doing, complaining that mom/dad won't let her watch YouTube, cooking, princesses and being in charge.

Parker (6 years, 11 months) - Parker was bummed to finish up baseball season.  He had a blast playing with his buddies - Go Muckdogs!  Thankfully the weather was pretty good this month so Parker was able to spend hours after school each day running around the neighborhood with his buddies.  He loves playing games and being with his friends!

Carter (8 years, 5 months) - Carter also had a great last month of baseball culminating in getting the game ball at his final game for his consistency over the season.  It was his first season of kid pitch which made it super long but he had fun!  Carter is also enjoying flag football.

Siblings - Lots of time was spend at the ball field this month and thankfully Avery usually tolerated it well.  The kids also had fun at other sports events - GT Baseball, Hawks and GT Football.  And on a sweet note, Carter has been reading Avery bedtime stories (when she lets him ;).
