November

November brings the end to the busy Fall activities season but it keeps us busy with Parker's birthday, Thanksgiving and the start of the holiday season.  We kept busy but were thankful to fit in a full family weeknight dinner at home for probably the first time since early Fall.  Thankfully we all continue to stay healthy and are excited about the holiday fun ahead.

Avery (7 years, 3 months) - Avery finished up Fall soccer and really enjoyed her season.  She is far from the most aggressive on the field but she improved a lot and had a sweet little team.  She is thinking about giving softball a try again in the Spring but she definitely wants to be back on the soccer field next Fall.  Otherwise she is doing well at school, loves playing with her neighborhood friends and continues to be a great cheerleader for her brothers.

Parker (10 years) - Parker enjoyed a big birthday month turning double digits!  He also wrapped up his Fall Slammers season with a couple of tournaments including a VERY long day where they thankfully came away with some bling.  Parker is enjoying school and has found his groove with a good group of friends.  He still enjoys spending most of his free time with his neighborhood buddies or his siblings.

Carter (11 years, 6 months) - Carter had a very busy sports month!  His Fall rec team ended up making it all the way to the championship game which they won in dramatic fashion.  Carter stole home to tie the game in the bottom of the last inning and the runner behind him later did the same to win the game.  His Slammers team played in several tournaments and came home with some bling.  He also wrapped up his Fall football season where his team came in 2nd place losing in the championship game.  Carter also started his first sport at School joining the Middle School wrestling team.  This is a totally new sport for him but he has jumped right in and has really enjoyed building a sense of community with his teammates.  And he was able to fit in some gold fun with dad playing a round from the seats at Truist park. It was such a busy month for Carter but he is doing well balancing it all and staying on top of his school work.

Siblings - The kids continue to LOVE each other, then squabble and then love some more.  They have had lots of opportunity to cheer each other on the Fall which is fun to watch.  And thankfully the boys are typically good sports putting up with Avery's "girlie" activity requests.  Their favorite activity to do together remains playing video games - Fortnite or Roblox being the current games of choice.
