July

July started busy with our RV trip but settled down a bit which gave us the opportunity to add in some fun local activities.  The kids also went to camp with some friends for a week and we finally got our screened in deck and backyard batting cage completed.

Avery (5 years, 11 months) is crazy as ever as she gets ready to turn 6.  She still spends lots of time with her neighborhood girl gang and loves going to the pool.  She is always up for posing for pictures.  And she had her first sleep over this month with her friend Caroline.

Parker (8 years, 8 months) really enjoyed playing summer baseball this year.  When not on the field he can be found hanging with his neighborhood friends.  Parker has followed his brother into the Fortnite obsession and has started giving Avery lessons on how to play as well.

Carter (10 years, 2 months)'s travel baseball team had a great end to their season going 2-2 in their final tournament.  Carter had a blast playing with this group and is looking forward to trying out again for next year.  He has improved so much over the past year and has really developed a love of the game.  Carter also started golf team at the end of the month and has a bunch of friends playing with him.

Siblings - The boys wrapped up their summer baseball seasons but haven't given up on the sport yet as they get in practice time in the new backyard cage.  They are also helping Avery get ready for Softball season.

Happy birthday to Jack and playtime on the new deck.

All 3 kids went to camp this week where they alternated between playing with Lego's and trampoline jumping.  They had a blast.

Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary

We took a quick trip to check out the reopened Yellow River Wildlife Sanctuary.  It has been closed for several years as new owners took over and upgraded the facilities to turn it into more of a sanctuary than a small zoo.  The kids each got a cup of fresh lettuce to feed various animals around the park which they thoroughly enjoyed.  It is a small facility but they have done a nice job with it.  Carter was super into feeding the bunnies while all Avery wanted was to find a Peacock feather.  Parker liked the barnyard animals best.
