September

September means back to school, cooler weather and football.  Dad joined the neighborhood fantasy football league and already earned us the honor of this sign in the front yard.
As for the kids, they kept us on our toes!

Avery (8 weeks) - Avery had a good month.  Highlights included head control, more awake time and finding her thumb (once) and more adorable smiles.  But most of her day is still spent sleeping, baby wearing and in hanging in mom/dad's laps.
So peaceful sleeping
Her dinner time hang out
Watcha looking at?
Wide eyes
First time in the Bumbo
Enjoying the play mat
First time at a restaurant
Her favorite nap time location

Parker (2 years, 10 months) - Parker is doing well moving into his middle child position and inching to the terrible threes.  He is generally a sweet child but falls apart when things don't go his way.  He is working to perfect a southern drawl, much to the horror of his parents.  He also had been going through an anti-food phase and prefers to be back to snacking.  He is also sadly often too cool for the camera =(
His favorite restaurant menu item - Chips with cheese dip
Rainbow hat he made at school
Putting on a post-dinner concert
Another crazy hat from school
Next to his best buddy Kieran and Kieran's birthday party.  These two don't leave each other's side at school!
Carter (4 years, 4 months) - Carter is an excellent big brother.  He loves helping with Avery, singing to her and making sure she is ok.  He is definitely a help around the house with everyone's hands full.  He is enjoying Pre-K and working hard on his phonics and writing.
Changing Avery's diaper - required per the diaper
Doing a science experiment on his sick day from school
Lots of birthday parties this month!
Picking out a Halloween costume

Siblings - The kids are doing great together.  The boys are best friends, Parker adores everything Carter does and both dote on baby Avery.
Parker wanted to hold Avery
Parker singing to Avery so she'd stop crying
All three "playing" together
Snuggles with mom
Post-school relaxing
Carter's turn to dote on Avery

Faces of Parker

Sweet Parker is moving towards the end of that adorable 2 year age.  So when you get a chance to capture the sweetness you take it!  Here are a gratuitous number of adorable Parker pictures!

Corn on Cobb

With a free Sunday morning, we decided to check out a local farm that hosts "Corn on Cobb" during the fall.  The boys enjoyed all the activities and mom/dad appreciated the fabulous weather.  Avery slept of course.

The biggest hit was the duck races.  If they had a bench nearby, mom/dad would have set up shop for several hours.
Other fun activities included a zip-line.  Carter had no fear.  Parker stayed with the ducks.
And a kid-crawl.
No fall farm visit is complete without a corn maze.  There were two here including a Popcorn maze for the young set.  The regular maze had several questions along the way to help let you know which way to go.  Carter's schooling paid off as he showed off his biblical knowledge with a few answers.  Parker was very concerned people would be lost in the maze.  He kept asking about that all day and into the next morning.
Next on our list of activities was a hayride around the property.
No hands going down a big hill!
The boys had a few horse races...
Before we stopped by the pumpkin patch to pick up a few decorations.
