July

Between holidays, vacations, camps, packing, unpacking and repacking we didn't have time for much else in July but we were able to fit in some fun with various celebrations !

Go Smyrna Blue!
Baseball moms all cleaned up

Avery (7 years, 11 months) - Avery is on a daily countdown until her birthday next month.  Between that and school starting, she has had a lot to look forward to.  Avery has been spending most of her free time hanging with friends and avoiding the July heat.

Going to see the Minions movie with EK and their bear twins

Ready for up coming trip to Savannah

Parker (10 years, 8 months) - Squeezed in between trips, Parker was able to attend a few birthday parties which was a nice way to connect with friends.  Otherwise he has been playing countless games of wiffle ball and football plus spending time at the creek with the neighborhood gang.

Ready for games at Arav's Andretti party
Always playing baseball

Carter (12 years, 2 months) - Carter was apparently too busy for pictures this month but he spent his second year at Woodruff Summer Camp with his Scout Troup and made some good progress on his next rank.  He has also been running around with the neighborhood boys and getting ready for Fall baseball.

Siblings - The kids were able to fit in some fun with friends and we got to celebrate Uncle Reid's birthday!

Sullivan's Island, SC

After we got back from Alaska, Carter headed off to Scout camp for the week and dad went back to the office. So mom, Parker and Avery decided to head to the beach!  We haven't been able to see the Burgess gang since pre-Covid so the kids were super excited to see their cousins.

The kids enjoyed regular trips to the beach to bougie board, search for shells/creatures and build sand castles.

They also enjoyed hanging around the house especially in the pool and with an impromptu donut party for the August birthday girls.
Got to see one Hillary from the Emory days

We also spent as much time on the golf cart as possible including lots of ice cream trips.

Victoria, BC

The last stop on our trip was Victoria, British Columbia which was a whole new country for the kids!

It was absolutely gorgeous out so we decided a day of easy exploring was just what we needed.  We made a quick stop at a park before heading to Fisherman's Wharf for lunch.  A round of freshly caught fried fish and local Oysters hit the spot before we headed downtown.

We slow walked to enjoy the sites on our way, Legislative Assembly, Royal BC Museum, Empress Hotel and even ended up stumbling upon a car show.

After some productive souvenir shopping, we took a break at the Empress Hotel for fancy drinks...  G&T and 75 for the adults and Hot Chocolate with biscotti for the kids.

We then caught the water taxi back to the Wharf where we refueled on ice cream before heading back to the Ship.
