September

September was a busier month as kids sports were in full swing and some normal activities resumed with covid cases slowing around Georgia.  The weather was also wonderful and we were able to take full advantage of watching sports on the deck and outside dining.

Avery (6 years, 1 month) - Avery still had to do virtual school for September which was met with varying success based on time of day, day of week and snacks provided.  Thankfully it was announced that she can go back in person next month and she is ready.  She has enjoyed being able to play with friends and even got to go out of town with friends for a few days over her Fall Break.  Softball season for the Rainbow Unicorns is in full swing and Avery enjoys playing with her friends.  Not sure how much she really enjoys softball but she is trying her best when it suits her.

Parker (8 years, 10 months) - Rec baseball season started for the AA Raptors.  Parker alternates between pitcher, catcher and short stop which has been fun to watch.  He isn't sure any of those are his favorite positions but he has been willing to do whatever is needed.  He is also having a blast on his Slammers travel team and handling playing baseball 5/6 days a week well.

Carter (10 years, 4 months) - Carter and the Major Lake Monsters also have been busy playing.  Carter has mainly been alternating between catcher, second and center field.  His Slammers team also started their Fall season with their first tournament where they went 1-1.

Siblings - The kids have spent lots of time at fields watching each other play this month.  And they have spent lots of time together on the deck watching TV.  The boys had a few fun events with a trip to the Battery to watch the Braves play and a birthday party for a neighborhood friend.
