August

August was a busy month for the Holden House but wonderful month for us.  With Ms. Avery's arrival (and the summer heat) we spent a lot of time at the house but we managed to fit in a few excursions and lots of fun.

Avery (4 weeks) - Avery spent most of the month sleeping or getting dragged around to her brother's activities.  Good thing she is pretty amenable to it!  More to come on this little lady when she hits One Month next week but here are a few too many pictures to hold you over.
Parker (2 years, 9 months) - Parker spent most of the month adoring his big brother and copying whatever he did.  He has been taking good lessons on what it means to be a big brother as he adores Avery.  He loves to hold her, he sings her songs when she cries, he checks on her when he enters a room and he loves to tell us when she is awake.  His favorite activities are dancing and playing with cars.
His Sticker says "Ms. Taryn Loves Parker"

Carter (4 years, 3 months) - Carter has become anti-camera these days as he is too busy to stop for even a quick second!  He is such a funny character at times.  He has a few new statements which he has started: he says "booty" as an answer to anything and dies laughing.  When something doesn't go his way he says "ah nut cracker".  He is full of energy which can be a handful at times but his random hugs and "I love you"s make it all worth it!
At Cooper's birthday party
He was introduced to Angry Birds (the cake topper for Cooper's birthday cake).. and he played it the entire time.
Start of soccer season
Siblings - The boys have spent a lot of time on one activity over the past month... driveway races.  Dad has gotten in on the fun and the three boys spend lots of time building tracks with obstacles from items in the recycling bin.
Safety First
A rainy day never stops the race!
When not racing, the boys have found lots of other fun ways to entertain themselves.
Bath time ala dad
The boys are making lots of progress at swim lessons!
Watching the Little League World Series
Being spun until they are dizzy with Finn at Carter E's birthday party
Puddle Splashing in the rain
Puddle Sitting
Playing Knights with their official French knight gear from Pops and Emme
Labor Day weekend relaxing with Claire and Caitlyn
And the boys have been loving their new sister!

Back to the Flats

Georgia Tech's home football schedule started today and soccer hadn't started yet so we had the opportunity to get down early and do some tailgating.  The boys were really excited and seemed unaffected by the unbearable August Georgia heat.
They had a blast getting incredibly dirty playing cars (Carter and Parker brought a few from home and Charlie Holbrook had a ton.... typical boys!).
Parker also had dad cover his arms in tattoos.
While sweet Avery slept away.
Dad dressed her this morning ;)
We did take a trip to Yellow Jacket Alley so the boys could listen to the band, high-five the team, look for Buzz and walk a little to burn off some energy.
Carter was obsessed with finding Buzz.. what a different a year makes
Avery moved to the sling for the walk
Boys were really excited when the Xylophones played Counting Stars!
After our walk, the girls headed home while the boys went to the game.  Avery woke up to watch Tech win!
