March

March always kicks off the busy Spring season and this year was no exception! Thankfully it is fun busy with lots of great things going on like the annual King Springs parent party and dad's birthday (celebrated at the ballfield with Mexican to follow - typical Saturday)!

Birthday boy didn't get his food

Avery (8 years, 7 months) - Soccer started this month for Avery but all 4 games were rained out plus several practices so it has been a slow start to the season. A highlight of the month was Buddy Breakfast at school. It happened to fall on a late start date for the boys so Avery picked Parker to be her buddy and he happily woke up early to join her for a quick bite to eat before school started.

Otherwise the month was full of school activities, supporting the boys at baseball and fitting in fun when not playing Roblox.

Parker (11 years, 4 months) - March means all the baseball for Parker! His Slammers travel team fit in an early season tournament before rec baseball season started.

Parker is fortunate to have a ton of friends on his rec team including two buddies from his current Slammers team.

The season kicked off with the annual LL parade through Smyrna. While it is an early morning the event is always such a hit with the kids that they don't mind the wake-up too much!

Unfortunately the end of the month went a bit South when Parker burned his hand pretty bad at a campout. He had to sit out of baseball for several weeks and miss his band concert but he still found tine to play with friends.

Carter (12 years, 10 months) - Carter decided to take after his dad and join the track team this Spring. He signed up for short distance running and long jump. He has a bunch of friends doing it and while the meets are super long he has been enjoying trying something new.  His Spring baseball season started to pick-up as well so having something lowkey only on the weekdays worked out perfect for the schedule.

Siblings - The boys were off school for Spring Break, the first week of March. Having just gotten home from a big trip last month we decided to keep it local for the week. We spent one night at the Great Wolf Lodge with friends. Avery randomly got off school early the same day so she and dad came down for the afternoon as well.

For the rest of the week, Carter enjoyed a trip to the Symphony to see Harry Potter, both boys enjoyed a trip to the Battery and Top Golf with Mimi and more golf at Putt Shack with mom.

Otherwise they generally got along or at least posed for cute pictures.
