January

Since Brie passed, Madie and Morgan have been spending a lot of time together.  You can find them about 20 hours a day laying on the bed together.

Avery (4 years, 5 months) -  January was a busy for little Avery.  We alternated between super cold days and those warm enough for lazy afternoons in the driveway.  We even fit in a few playground trips between the cold and rain.  And we spent many afternoons at the Library.  Avery has found a new favorite activity during carpool time - Sleeping Queens.  Cheer leading is keeping her busy and she has really bonded with several girls on her team.  Avery had several birthday parties this month and also made her own car to race in the boy's Pinewood Derby (she came in 2nd of 3 siblings in Carter's den).

Parker (7 years, 2 months) - Parker loved participating in his first Pinewood Derby race.  He designed his car all by himself and it did really well!  He has been really enjoying basketball and he has a very sweet team and coach.  They are undefeated so far - Go Lightning!  When the weather has permitted, Parker has spent every non-school/sports hour paling around with his neighborhood buddies.  You never know where you will find them!

Carter (8 years 8 months) - Carter finished up his Winter football league and is the middle of basketball.  His team started slow but has come on strong lately and he seems to have found his playing groove.  He also had a lot of fun competing in the Pinewood Derby but he had the most fun helping out with all the other den's races.

Siblings - the kids had some fun adventures together this month.  The cutest of which is Carter insisting on reading Avery bedtime stories.  Otherwise they all had a blast at the Pinewood Derby and cheering each other on at all their sports games!

January Adult Fun

We started out January with several kid-free days while the little ones were in North Carolina with their Grandparents.  We took full advantage of the time with a trip to see Infinity Mirrors at the High Museum with friends for New Years.

We also took trips to the Battery, Capitol Grill and Porch Light and even got Massages.  We also had some fun dinners out with friends including at an Underground Supper Club for Syrian food.  And mom managed a few girls nights out too while dad started a weekly neighborhood bowling league.  We finished the month with a big dinner with all the adults we are going on a cruise with next month.
