Boys go to Disney World

For the boy's spring break, Dad looked for options that were COVID conscious, and also gave a respite to the exhaustion that COVID has brought.  So it was off to Disney World for Carter, Parker and Dad!

Once getting to Disney World and checking in at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort, we quickly headed to Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course.

It was time for a new sport/adventure for the Holden men, our first ever round of foot golf.

Foot golf is played just like real golf, but instead of using a golf club and golf ball, you kick a soccer ball soccer style from the tee box to a large hole (about 2'-0" diameter) anywhere from 100' to 220' from the tee.  The game is played on a normal golf course, but the tee times for foot golf are in the afternoon after the last true golfers are out and in front of us foot golfers.

The game was a ton of fun and both boys have been looking for locations (turns out there are a lot) in Atlanta to continue playing!  After golf, it was dinner at Disney Springs, which included a small photo shoot

Then rest to get ready for many days of parks to come.

February

February flew by compared to January with holiday's, birthday's, trips and some mild weather.  We spent Valentine's Day at the Gomez house with friends which was a nice treat!  All the kids kicked off Spring Sports and mom started tennis so things are getting busy at the Holden house.

Avery (6 years, 6 months) - Avery was busy this month playing with her buddies and making giant messes of pillow forts, Barbie's and LOL dolls.  She is playing soccer this season and is excited to try something "new".  And she survived several baseball tournaments and is less than excited for them to start back up.

Checking out our front yard snake Jefferson (Jeff)

Parker (9 years, 3 months) - Parker is somewhat into school mainly for art and recess though he made a pretty cute Duck in his Music class production.  He had 2 baseball tournaments this month and is playing well though he is asking to start playing soccer next season so we will see what comes!

Carter (10 years, 9 months) - Carter has been enjoying school especially Math and Ingen.  He had his first Spring baseball tournament this month and it may have been one of his best.  He didn't strike out (something he has really been working on) and played solid at defense including an amazing leaping grab at second that resulted in a double play.  He could barely contain his smile running into the dugout.

Siblings - Thankfully kids generally enjoy hanging out with each other.  They are definitely all about the electronics this time of year but they have been building Minecraft worlds together which is really cute.  They are also still into the Masked Singer and enjoy putting on shows for us.

Holden Girls Head to Hollywood Studios

Our last stop before heading home was Hollywood Studios.  Avery loved all the rides but decided the Rock'n Roller Coaster was her favorite.  Slinky dog and the Runaway Railroad were also top contenders as was the Disney Junior Dance party.  Avery refused to ride anything Star Wars this year but was willing to take a quick walk through that area to look for Chewbacca.

When it was time to head home we had a mix of emotions from excitement at seeing our brothers to missing the fun we had.  Until next year!
