March

Spring has arrived in Georgia and we had a great month thawing out and enjoying being outside!
The neighborhood trees
Avery (7 months) - Avery is changing so much each month.  She continue to enjoy interacting with her brothers and other people.  She is working on sitting up and she has developed quite the appetite.  She started eating meals at school this month and she has been doing well trying lots of new things.
She loves sticking her tongue out

Shopping with dad

Parker (3 years, 4 months) - Parker is still having his occasional "threeanager" episodes but he is definitely becoming more responsible and independent.  Eating is a constant battle as he has no interest in meal time and can make dinner easily stretch over an hour.  His teachers have been commenting on how smart he is recently.  He know his letters and their sounds and can count over 20.  He likes to spell out his name using blocks at school.  Parker is also precious with Avery.  He loves to hug, sing to and play with her.

A few funny Parker moments from this month: (1) Parker has decided he was born at Georgia Tech.  He has told several people this recently and throws a fit if you tell him he was born in a hospital.  (2) In a random conversation, we asked the boys to pick a name for our house.  Parker picked Georgia Tech. (3) Parker loves to point out things that match and tell us they are the "Same, Same, Same".  One same won't do... it is always three.

Too cool for School
Blue day outfit he picked out
He made himself a Macaroni and Cheese taco for dinner - he gave it two thumbs up
Carter (4 years, 10 months) - We're focusing on independence with Carter to get ready for Kindergarten in the fall.  He has developed some really close friendships with kids in his class and he will definitely miss them when he goes to school next fall!  He is growing up into a little man.

He has developed this precious habit when mom gives him a kiss, he counts how many he gets and then returns that many kisses back.  He also dotes on Avery and knows just how to make her smile/laugh.

Siblings - The kids are at great ages and enjoy hanging out together.  Our biggest conflict currently is both boys have asked to marry Avery ;)
With the weather warming we have had the opportunity to hang out with more of the boys' neighborhood friends.

Parker's bracket... final of Ohio State vs Davidson
Carter's bracket - Wofford vs Belmont (he didn't have an elite 8 team make it out of the first round)

King Valley Spring Fling

Our neighborhood's Spring Fling event was today and fortunately it fit in perfectly with the boys Sport schedules.  The boys were psyched to get out their Easter stuff and they each picked out an Easter basket to bring (Thomas for Parker and the "big one to hold lots of eggs" for Carter).
The boys wracked up at the Egg hunt and Carter even found a Golden Egg for an extra surprise.
After the egg hunt, the boys made some furry friends, painted cookies, got balloon animals and watched the Magic show.  Avery was a trooper and hung around too!

Spring Baseball - March

Carter is playing Baseball this Spring through Smyrna Little League.  He is on the Pee Wee 1 White Sox.  The games have two innings and every child bats each inning.  Each child gets 5 pitches from the pitching machine (37MPH!) and if they don't get a hit. they still run to first base.  He is playing with 5 of his buddies from school so it's been a lot of fun.
Our first game got moved around due to weather but it didn't dappen the fun.  Carter is #1 so he led off and got a hit on his first pitch!  He alo got a hit his second time up.  Not bad for his first game.
Pre-game pep talk from Coach Joe
Excited for their first game
The Opening Day Parade was rained out but the kids were just as pumped to make it up the next weekend.  It was incredibly early but the whole family had fun decorating the truck.
And the kids thought being in the back of the truck was so cool!
Dad's view from the back
As for the game, Carter had another good one getting two hits - more foul balls than legal hits but he was so excited.
His last game in March was preceded by team pictures and we had a whole car full of fun on the way to the field.  I think the boys loved that more than the actual game!
