September

September was a busy month with sports in full swing and several fun events but it was all fun!

Andre's birthday at El Superpan

Avery (4 years, 1 month) has decided she is starting to grow up a bit because when you ask her if she is "big or small" she now replies "I'm medium".  She started soccer this month with mixed reviews.  She really wanted to play but once practice starts she is "too hot" and during the games she only wants to hang out in the goal.  She is still doing gymnastics and seems to prefer that to soccer.

Parker (6 years, 10 months) is all in on baseball and has even made posters to hang in his dugout during the games.  He loves his team because he has all his buddies on it.  Parker was turning into a brave little guy when it comes to animals and has been known to pick up lizards he finds around the neighborhood to play with.
Making a book about Carter's baseball game

Carter (8 years, 4 months) is also enjoying baseball and has recently moved to the lead off hitter spot which makes him really proud.  His football team won a game this month which is their first regular season win in two years so they were quite excited!  He seems to be using our new backyard fort the most often reading in one of the swings.
So happy to see Jake and Andre at big Andre's birthday party

A quick trip to Asheville

We made a quick trip to Asheville, NC to see Oma and Aunt Patty who had driven down South from Madison, WI to visit family.  We went to a local farm where we took a hay ride to feed some animals and then spent the rest of the day hanging around the Holden's house before we had to head home the next morning.
